Jay Burnham-Kidwell has been a CBA member since the early days. He demonstrates as often as possible for CBA so he can come over from Arizona and play with all of his best friends. Jay has done it all and he does it all expertly. From forging to raising to pattern-welding and casting, he is equally at home using metals of all colors, densities, alloys and ferrous-ities, including titanium. A member of CBA since 1979, Jay loves to demonstrate in California. This will be his 19th time! He will actually be leading one of the five Spring Conference hands-on workshops, teaching members to raise copper into vessels. Before "retiring" Jay was the Fine Arts Division Chairperson and a faculty member at Mojave Community College in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He particularly enjoys teaching blacksmiths because we are enthusiastic about learning how to work metal.
