Shawn Lovell

Shawn Lovell is a full-time blacksmith living in Berkeley CA. Shawn first attended Arizona State University, earning a design degree in 1987, and then the California College of Arts and Crafts, earning a degree in sculpture in 1993. She founded her own workshop in 1997 and specializes in custom architectural ironwork with a strong commitment to design. Her work can be seen at www.slmetalworks.com.

Shawn has developed a method of combining iron and glass and is planning to demonstrate the fusing of glass elements into her hand forged ironwork.
